Alpha Dream Construction wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use alphadreamconstructionca.com to learn about our services and reach us. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page that leads to the main content.
- Text and buttons in the header, footer and forms with color contrast that meets WCAG AA.
- Names for links and buttons that show only an image or icon, so screen readers announce where they go.
- Visible labels on every form field, and a visible focus outline when you move through the page with a keyboard.
- A pause button on slides that move by themselves, and less motion when your device asks for reduced motion.
- A call button that stays at the bottom of the screen on phones without covering the page.
We check the site with automated tools and by hand after changes, and fix what we find.
Known limits
Some older photos may not yet have full text descriptions, and some pages built before these checks may still have small issues. We are working through them. Content from other companies that our pages link to (for example maps and social networks) follows their own accessibility standards.
