California's class B General Building license, the one Alpha Dream Construction holds, covers projects that combine two or more unrelated building trades, which covers many remodels. ### One contract, one schedule Framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile and finish work run on one schedule under one contract. You have one point of contact instead of a list of separate trades to line up. ### Design before demolition Our in-house designers settle the layout, materials and finishes with you first. Changing a drawing is simple; changing a wall that is already framed is not. ### Permits and inspections We manage the permits, scheduling and inspections with your city or county building department, and book each inspection at the stage the department requires. ### A payment plan tied to progress Payments follow project milestones set out in your contract, so what you pay keeps pace with the work that is done. ## Licensed, Bonded and Insured: Check Us on CSLB Any California contractor's license can be checked on the Contractors State License Board website before you sign. This is what our record shows; more about the company is on our [about page](https://alphadreamconstructionca.com/about-us/). ### License #1145233 Class B, General Building, current and active, valid through 31 Oct 2027. [See the license on CSLB](https://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=1145233). ### Contractor's bond A $25,000 contractor's bond with American Contractors Indemnity Company, on file with the board. ### Workers' compensation Workers' compensation coverage with State Compensation Insurance Fund, also on file with the board. ### What to check for any contractor An active status, a class that fits your job, a current bond and workers' compensation on file. California also requires the license number on the contractor's ads and website. Our services ## Luxury Interior and Exterior Remodeling Services Every service below is planned and built by the same licensed team, so a kitchen, a bathroom and a new deck can run as one project or one at a time. Start with the inside or the outside of the house, or jump to a service. Moving a sink, a range or a wall changes the permit and the schedule, so the layout is decided first. Countertops are measured once the cabinets are installed, so cabinet delivery can affect the schedule. See our [kitchen remodeling services](https://alphadreamconstructionca.com/kitchen-remodel/), or read [what kitchen remodel costs depend on](https://alphadreamconstructionca.com/what-kitchen-remodel-los-angeles-costs-depend-on/) before you set a budget. Kitchen remodel with a white waterfall island Kitchen remodel with wood cabinets and a quartz island Two of our recent kitchen remodels. ## Bathroom Remodeling Most bathroom projects are a tub-to-shower conversion, a walk-in shower with a niche, a new vanity or a full gut and retile. The waterproofing behind the tile and the slope of the shower floor to the drain are what keep water out of the walls, so they get as much attention as the tile you pick. Moving a toilet or a drain means opening the floor, which adds plumbing work and can change the permit. See our [bathroom remodeling services](https://alphadreamconstructionca.com/bathroom-remodel/) and the [tub-to-shower and permit guide for Sherman Oaks](https://alphadreamconstructionca.com/sherman-oaks-bathroom-remodel-tub-to-shower-ladbs-guide/). Smaller interior projects, such as new flooring and interior paint, follow the same plan. We also build [ADUs (accessory dwelling units)](https://alphadreamconstructionca.com/adu-construction/) in the backyard, from the foundation and framing to the finished kitchen. Siding, exterior paint, waterproof decks and foundation repair are planned around what sits underneath, such as dry rot behind old siding or cracks that let water reach the framing. Damaged wood and stucco are repaired and sealed before the paint or the new siding goes on. A paver patio needs grading and drainage, a patio cover needs footings and a permit check, and an outdoor kitchen brings gas, power and water out to the yard. Building them as one plan keeps the deck, the pavers and the planting at the right heights.
